Volunteers needed for a High School
Kathmandu Don Bosco Higher Secondary School is located at the heart of the city of Kathmandu, which is the capital of Nepal.
Among others, Nepal is a popular destination for foreigners, especially from the Western countries, as a country of the Himalayas including the highest peak Mount Everest, the birth-place of Lord Buddha and as the sites of many heritages and traditions recongnized internationally.
Volunteers
Kathmandu Don Bosco School High School is an English medium school for Nepali students. The teachers, however, are all Nepalis and non-native speakers of English. It has junior school from Play Group to class Five named Kathmandu Pragya Kunja School. In the same way it has high school from class One to Ten named Kathmandu Don Bosco High School. It is the pioneer institution for higher secondary education. It offers grade 11 and 12 in Science, Commerce and Humanities stream.
We are looking for volunteers who are preferably English speaking to work in our school for s short to medium term. The volunteers’ primary responsibility will be to help students from Grade Four to Eight to improve their Spoken English. In addition, this work will be in a way a cultural exchange for both the volunteers and the students.
Term – From the period of one moth to a maximum of six months
Time of the year – Any time between May-February
Accommodation as well as food (three meals a day) will be provided free of cost by the School. If interested, the volunteers can take some classes or help the students with some extra-curricular activities as well.
